The ARE Process™ is a self-healing skill. 
A  skill you will always be able to use.

 

Awareness

It begins with becoming mindful of what is occurring in the present moment.  Learning to pay attention now – to become a witness to your thoughts and behaviour.  Focus. You will become aware of automatic behaviours.  Be more inwardly focused. “Oh, the places you’ll go!” 

Allow yourself to explore more of who you are. Be open. Note how curiosity begins to win over fear.

Become more aware of who you are.  Like re-discovering a good old friend.


Recognition

Observe from a fresh perspective –from an inner perspective.  Knowing the point can change the perspective.  Changing the perspective opens new doors.

This begins a process of dislodging old beliefs that keep us in automaton living. Recognizing when we act from an inner child’s need (or simply an old need) rather than the present need.

But once recognized for what they are, those beliefs become an entryway for change.  We recognize that the beliefs we held onto, may have served us in the past, but no longer serve us today.

Recognize there are options.  Discover that they are within you.


Experiencin
g

You too can experience a new way to feel.  Experience being with your feelings and embracing them, in place of controlling or avoiding them.  The nucleus of the process.

You will learn to explore your feelings non-judgmentally.  Mine your feelings for the messages they are repeatedly trying to convey.  That painful feeling is a symptom–but also the key to your healing.

A natural out-growth of the previous steps, experiencing is powerful.  What will you learn?

Re-Evaluation

The inner shift has begun.  The “outer you” will be motivated to align your actions accordingly.  It may give you pause.  Greater clarity.  A new way forward. A call to action.  Perhaps, you will find yourself at a decision point.  What then? A way forward or another cycle through the process…
